Multiple crashes caused significant delays along Interstate 77 in Iredell County Tuesday morning.

One of the most significant crashes happened around 4:45 a.m. near Mooresville around mile marker 38 on I-77 North. The general purpose lanes heading north were blocked due to the crash, and those traveling in the area were urged to take alternate routes like Highway 21 to avoid the area. The lanes were closed for hours but have since reopened.
