From June 4 through June 8 2018, San Diego Habitat for Humanity, in partnership with Clark Construction and McCarthy Building Companies, will build two homes – from the ground up – in five days in El Cajon.

The Home Builders Blitz represents a partnership between Habitat for Humanity and the building industry to build homes across the nation. Builders leverage their relationships with local subcontractors to build the homes at virtually no cost to Habitat. This is San Diego Habitat for Humanity’s eighth Home Builders Blitz; 25 homes have been built locally using the Blitz model.

The homes will be sold to people who qualify according to Habitat for Humanity’s selection criteria – a demonstrated need for improved housing, the ability to repay an affordable mortgage, and willingness to partner with Habitat by completing 250-500 sweat-equity hours before moving into the homes.
