It will be a cooler than average Monday in the Kansas City metro area. Highs are expected to peak in the lower to mid-50s with gradually decreasing clouds. As the week progresses, highs will return to the 60s and 70s starting on Tuesday, thanks to a shift in wind direction from the south.
