As snow continues to pelt Northern California's Sierra region, some schools in the area are canceling classes on Tuesday because of snowy conditions. The KCRA 3 weather team issued an Impact Day on Tuesday because some parts of the Sierra could see up to a couple of feet of snow. That much snow is likely to cause travel delays and cancel outdoor activities. Some schools have already announced snow days because of expected travel impacts and the need to clear snow from campuses.
