Police are sharing an update in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson. NYPD commissioner Jessica Tisch briefed reporters in a press conference hours after Thompson, 50, was killed outside a hotel in Midtown Manhattan before 7 a.m. on Dec. 4. Tisch described the incident as a “brazen, targeted attack” and said a manhunt is underway for the suspected shooter, who fled the scene. Police said a $10,000 reward is being offered for vital information in the case and assured that additional law enforcement would be on hand for the planned lighting of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree that evening and that the event is safe for the public.
